FAQ Solar 101:
Solar can seem complicated — but it doesn’t have to be. We believe in cutting through confusion with transparency, straight talk, and simple answers.
Is SOLAR really worth it for me?
Yes, especially in California. With high utility rates, abundant sunshine, government incentives, and programs, most homeowners: save tens of thousands over their solar system’s lifetime, gain energy independence, increased home value, and positively impact the environment.
What’s the catch? Do I really pay $0 upfront?
The catch is getting approved for the bill reduction program. The same way you didn’t pay for your energy provider to build their infrastructure, you won’t pay for the solar system infrastructure. You will simply be buying energy from your roof instead of from out-of-state energy sources like you do with SC Edison or PG&E.
What if I want to sell my home?
GREAT NEWS: Homes with solar not only sell faster, but according to Zillow and the U.S. Department of Energy, homes sell an average of 4.1% more. If you were buying a home, which would you buy?
Home A (Solar) — Price per kWh: $0.24
Home B (SC Edison) — Min price per kWh: $0.32 | Max price per kWh: $0.74
Home C (PG&E) — Min price per kWh: $0.41 | Max price per kWh: $0.72
